Obituary for Carole Prather

ROCKVILLE- Carole Prather, 81, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 8:37 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Clinton Gardens. She was the retired owner of the Cottage Flower and Gift Shop in Rockville. She was also an Avon Representative with 50 years of service. She was born December 31, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harold Haine and Dorothy Clem Haine. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William “Bill” Prather whom she married February 11, 1956 in Indianapolis; also surviving, three sons, Michael (Melanie) Prather of Hauula, Hawaii, Scott (Tina) Prather of Rockville and Bryant Prather of Rockville; one brother, Charles “Chuck” (Connie) Haine of Maryland; two sisters, Sue (Jim) Andreas of Chicago and Nancy (Mike) Netter of Florida; four grandchildren, Heidi McCreary, Jennifer Lang, Tia (Mike) Keller and Joshua Marc Brand; two great-grandchildren, Dale and Bryan Lang; She was preceded in death by one son, Rick Prather in 2015 and two grandsons, Joshua Michael Prather in 1986 and Jeremiah Lee Prather in 1996. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 21, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Keith B. McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation is from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday. Online condolences may be shared at www.goochfuneralhome.com.
