Obituary for Beverly Dell Whitford

ROCKVILLE- Beverly Dell Whitford, 75, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 9:20 pm Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. She was a homemaker. She was born October 8, 1942 in Rockville, Indiana to the late James William Lawson and Eva Jane Teagarden Lawson. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Richard Whitford whom she married December 22, 1962 at Nyesville; also surviving, one son, Mark (Tia) Whitford of Rockville; one daughter, Tina (Chadd) Wilson of Rockville; five grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Poole, Kayla (Troy) Leach, Tyler (Fiancé Marissa Core) Whitford, Dylan (Paige) Whitford and Bailey Whitford; two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Addilyn Leach; She was a 1961 graduate of Turkey Run High School and was a member of the Marshall Federated Church. She loved working in her flower garden, taking care of her animals, and spending time with family. Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, July 8, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Brian Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall. Visitation is 4-8 pm Saturday at Gooch Funeral Home. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the Gibson Center for Hospice Care, 1606 N. 7th Street, 5th floor, Terre Haute, IN 47804 in her memory. Online condolences may be shared at
