Obituary for Barbara Jane Williams

ROCKVILLE- Barbara Jane Gardner Williams, 80, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 3:41 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Union Hospital Clinton with her family by her side.

She was a homemaker lovingly caring for her family placing their needs above all else. She was born September 25, 1936 in Angola, Indiana to the late Loren “Curley” Gardner and Gladys “Pat” Hill Gardner.

Survivors include her husband Don Williams whom she married November 3, 1962 in Mt. Vernon; also surviving, daughter, Becky Law and her husband Scott of Aledo, Texas; son Brian Williams and his friend Leslie of Rockville; brother, Jim Gardner and his wife Dianne of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Natalie and Dylan; four great-grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Beta Phi chapter sorority where she served as district president, American Legion Fellenzer post 48 auxiliary and AMVETS post 61 auxiliary.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 with a closing prayer/memorial at 4 pm Thursday, September 14, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. There will be a gathering/meal following at the American Legion Fellenzer post 48, Rockville.

Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, 115 E. Ohio Street, Rockville, IN 47872.
